Admittedly, this was the first pair of shoes that I did purely for sale. Most of the shoes that I do are for someone specific or are coincidently in my size (how coincidental!?) meaning that if they didn’t sell I could wear them. This pair was too small for me… I was taking a risk. I wanted to do a loud azure pump with a deco-feel.
Needless to say, I was vey happy with the results. I did learn a lot about patterns and how they have to adapt to the varied circumference of a shoe…one of those lessons that you hate very second of but you work through. There were so many nights that I HATED these shoes.
After the months of work I began to see the full picture and fell in love with them all over again. So sad to see them go but I’m sure that they are loved.
