Another board from back in 2013.
Since I’m out sick today and away from my fun board; here’s one from when I started this whole crazy nonsense in January 2013. Giraffes are excellent secret keepers… And yes, I DID meet Fabio.
Why is the sky blue?
BS (Bull Sh*t) Answer: Blue is the color of dragon farts….and they fart a lot. So much that they have created a azure haze to hide their existence. I know you can’t see them, but they’re up there. Flying around…and farting.
BS (Bachelors of Science) Answer: We perceive the color of the sky as a result of the angle at which we view the light waves as they are scattered by the molecules that make up our atmosphere. Blue light is relatively short, getting absorbed and bounced around very readily by the gases in our atmosphere. Red light is still present but is absorbed at a much lower rate. Eventually these wannabe light saber photons hit your face. The cones in your eyes perceive this wavelength as blue and you decided to ask a desk monkey/biologist about it on Tumblr.
