You know how some days you wake up and you just feel like the day is not going to go your way, that was TODAY… bullshit and nonsense, I do NOT need right now. I have a life to build here, little busy.
I’m still adjusting to the slight time difference between Seattle and Minneapolis (2 hours) and I woke up late… I hate waking up late… I’m an obligate morning person and anything past 9am feels like I’m being cheated out of my morning. Ugh… I woke up at 10:30! Not cool Jenna, not cool! Breakfast felt like lunch, lunch was non-existent! All my food plans, right out the frosty window…
Type- A? Me? Heavens no… why do you ask?
After getting my self back together (deciding to eat both meals), I decided that rather than be angry with myself… I would wander over to the closest museum to lighten the mood. GREAT IDEA.

I live within 10 minutes of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t really expecting much… I mean, a free museum can’t be THAT big, or have works from some of my favorite artists? Right? HA! Idiot.

I was blown away. It is 3 floors of non-stop artistic hits, I was/am in love.

Degas, Picasso, Mondrian, Lichtenstein, Warhol…and Monet. I love Claude Monet and they had 2!

I started with my favorite, Modern Art.
Located on the expansive 3rd floor, I solemnly wandered.

I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of works on display.

I even gasped at the sight of this bust; I’ve never seen Raffaelo Monti in person. Just in pictures. I think his work is astoundingly delicate and ethereal…

With only 30 minutes left until closing time… I quickly snapped a few other shots of things I found visually interesting.

I’ll have to come back for a better look at the whole collection. I was just so unprepared! Next time I will get up early and let it the art devour my whole day.

I did squander a few minutes to get in a badass selfie… worth it.
